Welcome to My Blog!



Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog!  I will be posting here about once a week, and sharing my adventures in my Virginia Blind Dog Rescue foster home!  Here I am in my yard, with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background.  My foster mom wants you to know I am doing so well, and enjoyed the evening snuggling in her lap.

Shelter Pictures and Freedom Ride

Here I am in the shelter, and don't I look sad? I was sad for many reasons but mostly I was sad because I was a stray dog and no one had taken care of me for a long time.  My hair was long and matted, and I had many fleas, so the shelter staff shaved me, including shaving around my eyes. They did leave a little hair on the top of my head.  My eyes hurt, and my ears were infected, and my teeth were not in good shape. I don't look very cute here, do I, but my Blind Dog Rescue foster mom saw these two pictures and decided she wanted to foster me.   She saw my potential .   Keep reading below! And here I am on my Freedom Ride from the shelter! I already look better, don't I? And then here I am on my way to my foster home! Can you see my smile? Ready for Adoption!!!

I Get Along with Other Dogs!

This picture was taken about a month or so ago, after my spay, when I had to wear the dreaded cone.  I was so good about it, though! And here is my favorite spot at my foster home. It looks a little like a jail, but it is an indoor pen, and you can tell the door is open if you look closely.  Even though I can walk all over and choose from a number of dog beds, my favorite place to sleep is on this thick foam dog bed in this pen that is in the middle of the kitchen!  So, where all the action is.  And often I am joined by other dog friends.  Both of these old dogs who joined me in this picture have on diapers because, unlike me, they have random potty accidents in the house!   I am completely housetrained!  No diapers for me! Being housetrained is just one of my great qualities.  :) Another is that I don't mind sharing my comfortable bed,  as long as there is enough room for me.  So, today I went to the vet, and my new glaucoma drops brought my eye pressure rig
